About the Role:

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager/Risk Management professional to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for overseeing personnel and operational needs, as well as managing risk and building and property operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Building and Property Management
  • Oversee facility operations for the Jack Joseph and Morton Mandel building and other properties owned by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
  • Manage building maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve building efficiency and reduce costs.
Risk Management
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential losses.
  • Manage insurance programs and claims.
  • Conduct site visits and provide education and training to staff on risk management best practices.
Supervision and Leadership
  • Supervise direct reports, including the Supervisor, Building Maintenance, Manager Cemetery Operations, and Conference Center Administrator.
  • Conduct annual reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
Contractor/Vendor Management
  • Oversee vendor relations, including cleaning crews.
  • Review and negotiate contracts.
Special Projects/Operations
  • Collaborate with JFC Security LLC.
  • Manage grant reporting for federal and state grants related to security.
  • Provide support to other Federation departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in building and property management and/or risk management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
