About the Role

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Camp Hill, PA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a wide range of projects, including heavy construction, buildings, transit stations, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Analysis: Perform and check structural design and analysis computations, including finite element modeling and steel and concrete design.
  • Construction Planning: Prepare construction plans for transit-related facilities, industrial structures, and other building-related structures.
  • Contract Document Development: Develop contract documents, including plans, details, and specifications.
  • Construction Document Review: Review construction documents, such as shop drawings or contractor requests.
  • Structural Observations: Perform structural observations on existing and new structures.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare summary and detailed reports using clear and succinct writing, and provide technical guidance to entry-level engineers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering is required.
  • Certification: PA PE certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a structural design engineer on wastewater, building, and/or transit-related projects.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS, and other structural engineering analysis and design-related software.
  • AutoCAD and REVIT: Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.
