Position Overview

We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer to oversee our polyiso foam manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with all safety regulations within the maintenance department.
  • Propose operational enhancements to the Production Management and Plant Manager.
  • Contribute to capability assessments during product and process development.
  • Supervise and participate in the activities of the Maintenance Department.
  • Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform electrical and electronic maintenance, adhering to established practices.
  • Assemble and install mechanical and electrical equipment based on engineering documentation.
  • Utilize tools and equipment proficiently to execute maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty components in plant machinery.
  • Maintain motors, pumps, and other mechanical parts.
  • Complete necessary records and reports related to maintenance activities.
  • Operate forklifts and man lifts, conducting inspections and maintenance as required.
  • Oversee the upkeep of the plant's buildings and grounds.
  • Respond to service requests from production teams.
  • Engage in safety and housekeeping initiatives within the facility.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs using Maintscape.
  • Estimate costs for layout designs and monitor project execution.
  • Resolve technical issues and recommend production improvements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and engineering records.
  • Ensure compliance of outside contractors with safety agreements.
  • Develop and submit proposals for capital projects aimed at improving efficiency.
  • Oversee capital projects to ensure they meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the plant manager.
  • Travel may be required as part of the role.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a technical college or school.
  • Two years of related experience or training.
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with A.B. RS Logix500, RS logix5000, Control Logix, and HMI configurations.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience with electrical systems and PLC programming.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to interpret and modify ladder logic and PLC programming.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with employees.
  • Mathematical aptitude for practical applications.
  • Problem-solving skills for addressing technical challenges.
