Job Description

Drive Engineering Corp. is actively seeking a dedicated Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience in various tasks associated with ITS design, plan formulation, plan assessment, specification drafting, and technical documentation. The primary responsibilities of this role encompass:

  • Plan formulation and development
  • Conducting plan assessments
  • Performing design calculations
  • Executing field surveys
  • Technical writing
  • Providing construction services related to ITS and Systems Engineering

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week); includes PTO and benefits

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • EIT certification with the capability to secure a PE license within two years
  • Undergraduate coursework related to ITS, electrical wiring, and/or communications network design
  • Exceptional time management and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with PANYNJ/PennDOT standards, MUTCD, and AASHTO guidelines
  • General experience with Mid-Atlantic DOTs and/or Tolling Agencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation is essential
  • Willingness to travel for project meetings and field assessments within the Mid-Atlantic Region

Drive Engineering Corp. is a prominent DBE/MBE provider of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Engineering, and Transportation Planning and Engineering consulting services in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our team is experienced in all project phases, from initial planning to project completion, including PS&E development and construction design services for both design-bid-build and design-build projects. We have extensive planning, design, review, and construction inspection experience in large-scale ITS and Traffic Signal deployments.

From $30.00 to $50.00 per hour
