As a Veteran Care Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering healthcare services to our esteemed veterans. Valor Healthcare operates numerous VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across the United States, collaborating closely with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Diagnose and treat veterans under the supervision of a physician.
  • Conduct thorough examinations to identify symptoms of disorders.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, providing follow-up care as necessary.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage and health maintenance.
  • Evaluate external medical records and collaborate with patients in co-managed care.
  • Complete clinical reminders and document medical records promptly.
  • Adhere to all VA guidelines for patient requests, alerts, and notifications.
  • Participate in outreach events to support clinic enrollment initiatives.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and nurse practitioner program (MSN required).
  • Certification by a recognized professional organization.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a CRNP in a primary care or ambulatory care setting; experience in a government healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Must be credentialed and maintain good standing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS as required.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, along with strong computer skills.
  • A positive demeanor and a commitment to service excellence.
