Role Summary:
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our innovative mobile medical unit. This role is crucial in addressing the health care needs of underserved populations. The selected candidate will travel to various locations, providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, education, and consultations. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and serving as a primary health care provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary health care services to patients.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and patient evaluations.
- Utilize medical instruments and equipment proficiently.
- Manage electronic health records and information systems effectively.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and health care partners.
- Document patient medical histories and clinical symptoms.
- Develop and implement patient care plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and maintain medical equipment.
- Diagnose health conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatments.
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
- Contribute to the enhancement of clinic operations.
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid Florida RN Licensure and board certification from ANCC or AANP.
- APN authorization in Family Health from the Board of Nurse Examiners in Florida.
