Job ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for assisting the Nursing Unit Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating the daily functions of Nursing Care and Services in the Medical Intermediate Care Unit. This includes:
- Providing supervisory and management oversight for staff members and departmental resources and processes.
- Facilitating interventions to meet patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs.
- Coordinating functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital.
In addition, you will serve as a role model, mentor, educator, and evaluator in the Critical Care area.
Qualifications- Current Alaska nursing license in good standing
- Associate's Degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred
- CCRN certification required
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
- NIH Required
