At Alaska Regional Hospital, we seek a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team in the Medical Intermediate Care Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess advanced critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing daily nursing functions, supervising staff members, and facilitating interventions to meet patients' needs.

You will play a key role in promoting positive working relationships among healthcare professionals and ensuring seamless transitions between shifts. Your expertise will also contribute to ongoing performance improvement activities, aligning with the hospital's Performance Improvement Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Coordinate patient care, collaborating with physicians and other departments to ensure effective treatment plans
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, communicating progress to stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in nursing, with experience in medical intermediate care settings
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality patient care
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant software systems
