Role Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for executing a range of human resources functions and administrative tasks focused on recruitment, employee involvement, and event management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment:
- Design and implement strategic recruitment initiatives to attract high-caliber candidates.
- Oversee the complete recruitment cycle, including job advertisements, resume evaluations, interviews, and reference verifications.
- Collaborate with hiring leaders to assess staffing requirements and develop engaging job descriptions.
- Leverage diverse recruitment platforms, including job boards, social media, and networking opportunities, to identify potential candidates.
- Maintain a robust talent pipeline and foster relationships with prospective candidates.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring a seamless integration into the organization.
- Employee Engagement:
- Organize and manage employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building exercises, volunteer activities, wellness programs, corporate events, and recognition ceremonies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ascertain event goals and requirements.
- Handle event logistics, including venue selection, decorations, catering, invitations, and material preparation.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of promotional materials across various channels, including flyers, invitations, presentations, email communications, and social media.
- Manage event budgets and proposals, ensuring cost-effective solutions while upholding quality standards.
- Review and process invoices and expense reports with precision.
- Proactively address any issues that arise and troubleshoot problems during events.
- Procure merchandise and supplies while managing inventory effectively.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys, assess event outcomes, and gather feedback for ongoing enhancement.
- Draft and distribute the company newsletter.
- Support General Services in vendor management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High energy and initiative, comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Experience in planning and executing events, including logistics, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in recruitment and/or event management.
