Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 annually + monthly commissions

Location: Nashville Market

Position Summary

The Events Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue for the restaurant by utilizing both direct and indirect sales strategies. This position encompasses all planning and execution elements of private dining events, large gatherings, and community marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to meet sales objectives.
  • Establish and nurture enduring relationships with clients, gaining insights into their business goals and requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Coordinate and facilitate in-house special events, off-site catering, and private buy-outs to effectively showcase the brand and seize sales opportunities.
  • Identify market segments and forge strategic partnerships with influencers.
  • Develop comprehensive market strategies and tactical plans.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, including professional referral-based events during pre-opening phases.
  • Assist the General Manager in negotiating client pricing and securing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Manage all aspects of delivery service platforms.
  • Maintain relationships with the current public relations agency.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the sales process from initiation to completion.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Proven ability to articulate the unique features of services and products.
  • Familiarity with R365, Avero, MS Office, Excel, and Slack.
  • Ability to position offerings against competitors effectively.
  • Experience in analyzing profit and loss statements.
  • Possess all necessary work cards as mandated by state regulations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality, entertainment, or events sector.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and converting leads into business.
  • Ability to communicate strategies for building sales while demonstrating the effectiveness of those strategies.
  • Lead the development of pricing structures for large events and regularly update sales and event menus.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for cleaning and filing tasks.
  • Ability to perform tasks in limited spaces efficiently.
  • Regularly lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Engage in various physical activities including writing, standing, sitting, walking, and listening, with adequate visual acuity.
