Job Description

Absher Construction Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for assisting superiors in planning construction procedures, specifications, work schedules, and material needs. You will supervise and coordinate activities of field craft workers on job sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist superiors in planning and coordinating construction procedures, specifications, work schedules, and material needs.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of field craft workers on job sites.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans, in coordination with superiors, to obtain Owner/Agency approvals.
  • Coordinate with various contractors and craft labor crews to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on project management and site operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
