About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our regional office and its departments. The successful candidate will enhance employee productivity, maintain communication with new hires, department leads, and upper management, and ensure a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Resource Allocation: Monitor expenses, adhere to budgetary constraints, identify cost-saving measures, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Daily Operations & Coordination: Oversee daily operations, coordinate with multiple departments, manage office supplies, equipment, and maintenance services, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Onboarding of Regional Employees: Assist with union recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires, and ensure all safety training is completed.
  • Payroll & Compliance Management: Ensure payroll accuracy, collect and verify payroll data, and manage union employee temporary wage/job changes.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensure prompt resolution of issues, and maintain open and transparent communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Event & Meeting Management: Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements, and maintain the regional office schedule/calendar of events and meetings.

  • Leadership and Confidentiality: Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, effective leadership qualities, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Multi-Tasking and Adaptability: Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate adaptability.
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent, and 2+ years of experience in an administrative/office management role, preferably in the construction industry.
