Job Summary

The Site Construction Manager will oversee the construction process, ensuring timely completion of assigned projects. This includes managing outside vendors and contractors, adhering to approved development budgets, and meeting company business plans and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in preconstruction activities to ensure project readiness.
  • Host kick-off meetings with subcontractors to discuss project scope and expectations.
  • Create a site utilization plan, including office location, material laydown, and temporary power setup.
  • Organize and plan job schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Advise the Director of Construction on major risk items and document incidents.
  • Implement and support the company's Quality Control Program and scopes of work.
  • Utilize construction management software to document project activities.
  • Monitor construction to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.
  • Advise on construction completion to verify contractor payments.
  • Review house budgets on a quarterly basis.
  • Actively participate in creating project schedules and provide weekly updates to the Director of Construction.
  • Conduct safety meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Enforce company safety rules and procedures.
  • Secure the site and building at the end of each workday.
  • Maintain project oversight to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules in construction management software.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to discuss safety and quality control.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
  • Manage the inspection process throughout construction.
  • Prepare units for customer walkthroughs and perform turnover walks with buyers.
  • Report on site development activities to the Director of Construction weekly.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred.
  • Experience in multifamily construction required, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in reading architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
  • Ability to use construction management software, including Builder Trend or Smartsheet.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs on the construction site.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
