SUMMARY
Agile Defense is dedicated to providing comprehensive system solutions to military and joint operations, focusing on computer hardware, software, and network management. The Mission Command Support Center (MCSC) plays a vital role in the Program Executive Office - Command, Control, & Communications-Tactical (PEO-C3T), ensuring the deployment, integration, and management of mission-critical capabilities. The MCSC is committed to evolving and adapting to new challenges while maintaining optimal readiness for deployed assets.

The Cybersecurity Specialist will exhibit strong collaboration skills, capable of working autonomously and as part of integrated teams. This role involves designing and implementing best practices for organizational IT security.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor computer networks for potential security threats.
  • Install and configure security software; document all identified security issues.
  • Ensure project objectives are met promptly while maintaining a compliant security posture.
  • Oversee and maintain vulnerability scanning tools to ensure compliance.
  • Review information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVA) to ensure all systems are updated with the latest patches.
  • Generate weekly vulnerability reports for leadership review, ensuring endpoint security solutions are patched and maintained.
  • Support vulnerability management and continuous monitoring for certification and accreditation.
  • Utilize SIEM tools for real-time monitoring and analysis of security events.
  • Perform additional administrative and support tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications:
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (Must obtain within 90 days of starting).
Education, Background, and Years of Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with at least an Interim Secret clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in endpoint security and vulnerability assessment.
  • BS or BA preferred but not mandatory.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, network security solutions, common network terminology, and experience with ACAS and NESSUS scanners is advantageous.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions:
  • Standard office environment.
  • Hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days on-site.
Strength Demands:
  • Light – maximum lifting of 20 lbs, with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or sit; walk; perform repetitive motions; use hands/fingers for handling; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; see; push or pull.
