Position Summary for the Senior Radiologic Technology Supervisor

The Senior Radiologic Technology Supervisor collaborates closely with the management team to train, evaluate, and oversee technical and support personnel. This role involves monitoring technical and administrative operations to ensure efficient patient care and optimal use of resources. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining quality control and performance improvement initiatives to guarantee timely and acceptable service delivery. The Supervisor must possess a thorough understanding of radiologic practices, patient care, positioning, and radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the radiologic team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Organize and prioritize departmental tasks to meet operational goals.
  • Oversee daily departmental activities and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to effective departmental management.
  • Ensure optimal diagnostic quality in imaging for patients of all demographics.
  • Administer contrast media following established protocols.
  • Adhere to patient care and safety regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive support through job-related functions.

Qualifications for the Senior Radiologic Technology Supervisor

EDUCATION:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent qualifications.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a clinical setting as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained shortly after employment.
