District Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, benefit administration, training, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee cash room management and coordinate banking and armorer car services.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Assist in producing weekly financial reports.
- Ensure accurate general ledger representation and complete balance sheet reconciliations during period close.
- Analyze financial statements to identify areas for profit improvement and recommend actions.
- Assist in forecasting and budget modeling, evaluating what-if scenarios.
- Maintain internal controls within the district operation.
- Interact with internal and external auditors.
- Provide assistance with building maintenance management as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- A minimum of five years of financial management experience.
- Ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information effectively.
- Five to seven years of total experience.
- Staff Accountant experience.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during month-end close.
