Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Eversource Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business solutions and improving our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate meetings and communications between IT and business stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Capture, analyze, and document business and user requirements, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Act as a thought leader in shaping and influencing IT roadmaps for assigned business areas, identifying opportunities to improve current business and IT processes.
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements, and coach and mentor others in this effort.
  • Monitor industry activities and lead others in learning opportunities for assigned business areas, identifying potential solutions and new findings.
  • Conduct reviews of business processes, leading and working with less experienced associates in developing functional optimization strategies.
  • May participate and/or lead others in the development of user documentation and manuals, training materials, and/or job aids, as needed.
  • May facilitate and lead less experienced peers in Application Development and Support activities for small and large development requests.
  • Accountable for Capital Project Business cases and estimate creation, leading the presentation of said cases to the PMO and Finance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated application of Business Analysis skills.
  • Prior experience in the utility industry is a plus.
  • Strong business and general system knowledge, with the ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and application development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of one or more business domains, and a detailed understanding of how the domains relate and can be assembled into solutions that meet business and IT needs and business strategy.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and business process optimization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different management levels.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including O365, Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and associated tools, such as Jira, VSTS, and/or other Agile applications, is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of financial and cost models, and budgeting.
  • Ability to balance the long-term (big picture) and short-term implications of potential solution decisions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and a track record of following through on commitments.
  • Ability to lead small, high-performing teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), IQBBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA), IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), SAFe POPM.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position starts at $123,160.00 to $136,840.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
