Position Summary:

The Production Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets Business Unit. This role is essential in ensuring that maintenance activities align with company standards and operational goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to prioritize and execute daily maintenance tasks effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a 24/7 maintenance team, ensuring all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently.
  • Coordinate resources for both production and non-production maintenance activities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Lead inspections to identify necessary repairs and implement corrective actions to maintain safety and compliance.
  • Enhance equipment change-over processes based on production schedules.
  • Interpret technical documents, including blueprints and equipment manuals.
  • Facilitate communication with engineering for the preparation of maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage inventory of spare parts and materials.
  • Provide support across all shifts to address manufacturing challenges promptly.
  • Implement safety improvements as recommended by the engineering team.

Supervisory Duties:

This role involves direct management of maintenance personnel, including responsibilities such as hiring, training, and performance management, in accordance with organizational policies.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in maintenance management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems and field service.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience in organizations adhering to ISO, FDA, or similar quality standards.

Skills:
  • Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong communication skills for coaching and performance management.
  • Understanding of pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to adapt to new concepts and techniques quickly.
