Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Subcontract Administrator to join our team at Marine Hydraulics International, LLC. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing subcontracts, negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontract Management: Review and analyze subcontract requisitions for accuracy, compliance with specifications, and adherence to budget and authorization for purchase.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Prepare and execute subcontract purchase orders, issue RFPs/RFQs, and evaluate proposals, including completing a cost/price analysis.
  • Contract Administration: Review and negotiate terms and conditions, and handle post-award administration and subcontract closeout with minimal supervision.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain subcontract files in accordance with appropriate procurement procedures and government-approved purchasing system requirements.
  • Subcontractor Monitoring: Follow up and monitor subcontracts to evaluate subcontractor's ability to meet schedules, cost, and technical requirements.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure subcontractors are in compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethics requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Interface with project team and production to discuss contractual issues, provide early identification of risks and potential liabilities, and work with managers and subcontractors to assist in resolution of impasses or other difficult related issues.
  • Financial Management: Assist accounting with solving any processing problems with subcontract invoices.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Subcontractor Sourcing: Responsible for seeking out and investigating qualified subcontractors and soliciting price information.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as necessary and appropriate to this position.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: At least two years of government subcontracting experience, including knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Skills: Good organizational skills, strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, capable of performing detail-oriented work, excellent negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving skills, requiring a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, and computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
