Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Energy Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance within our operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Addressing unsafe conditions without hesitation to protect personnel and the environment.
  • Participating in the recruitment process to ensure qualified candidates are selected for operational roles.
  • Overseeing the professional growth and performance evaluations of team members.
  • Managing technical support for thorium extraction processes and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Providing guidance for training related to chemical processing and operational safety.
  • Leading a team responsible for the extraction and purification of thorium materials.
  • Formulating policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Responding promptly to regulatory assessments and audits.
  • Evaluating organizational performance and managing customer interactions.
  • Supporting the principles of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) and fostering a safety-centric culture.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in chemistry.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in a DOE contractor organization.
  • At least five years of experience in managing isotope processing activities.
  • Experience in initiating new radiochemical processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and presentation abilities.
  • The capability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • A thorough understanding of applicable DOE Orders and Standards relevant to operational disciplines.
  • Experience managing a multi-million-dollar budget while adhering to cost and schedule constraints.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
