Job Overview

Position Summary


The role involves overseeing the planning, scheduling, and tracking of material flow and returns throughout the production cycle to ascertain the necessary materials for job completion.

This position is tasked with formulating specifications for new contract orders, assessing vendor reliability, and identifying new supply sources when existing vendors are insufficient.

Additionally, the role entails timely inventory management of assigned materials and executing the following responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment within the framework of company policies.

Compliance with internal and/or external specifications and standards (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO) may also be assured. Tasks are generally straightforward, relying on established instructions and guidelines. The position operates under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation based on established manufacturing sequences and lead times.


• Adjusting production schedules as necessary due to design modifications, labor or material shortages, and backlogs, in collaboration with management, sales, production, or engineering.

• Accelerating operations that hinder schedules and modifying timelines to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.

• Maintaining timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documentation to ensure accurate record retention.


• Ensuring that commodities are delivered on time, at the agreed price, and meet the company's quality standards.

• Conducting quality assurance reviews of production records for compliance, including adherence to good documentation practices.

• Evaluating purchased products and providing input on acceptance decisions and future vendor purchases.

• Supporting the calibration program to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and customer requirements.

• Assisting in document control and configuration management processes.

• Administering the Quality Management System (QMS) Training program.

• Communicating significant issues or developments identified during quality activities to management.

• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.

• Availability for work, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet goals and deadlines.

Supervisory Role

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

• Education and Experience


• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience in a regulated environment is preferred, such as FDA, DOD, or DOE.

Language Proficiency:

In the official language of the country/province: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.

Ability to create routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform calculations and work with various units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in calculating percentages and proportions, as well as basic algebra concepts.

• Experience with radiologic and radiation contamination prevention and monitoring programs is preferred.
