Compensation

$11.50 Hourly, Based on Experience + Bonus & Incentives

Schedule

Part-Time (Up to 29 hours/week, No Benefits)

Job Purpose

The role of the Janitor is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere for all guests. Janitors represent the visual standard of the Progressive Retail Management brand, ensuring that facilities are ready for use at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Greet and acknowledge every guest sincerely.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and appearance throughout the property.
  3. Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance guest experience.
  4. Monitor the property to prevent theft and ensure safety.
  5. Maintain flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Perform duties with minimal disruption to guests.
  7. Adhere to safe work practices consistently.
  8. Report and track equipment outages as necessary.
  9. Keep accurate records of cleaned areas.
  10. Follow company policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

This is an entry-level position with no minimum qualifications required, provided the individual meets applicable employment laws. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Two years of janitorial experience.
  • Two years of floor maintenance experience.
  • Computer literacy in a PC environment.
  • Experience with SDS and chemical safety.
  • General mechanical maintenance and repair skills.

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical activities such as bending, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive tasks. Janitors must be able to lift and handle objects weighing 50 lbs or more safely and stand for the duration of their shift.

Supervisory Functions

This role typically does not involve supervisory responsibilities. However, a Janitor may be designated as a lead on specific projects when working alongside other janitorial staff.
