Key Responsibilities

The Construction Project Engineer will collaborate with a team of construction professionals and typically report to the Project Manager, while also working closely with company Executives. The role involves:

  • Analyzing and resolving design and construction challenges.
  • Engaging with client representatives, architects, engineers, and contractors as necessary.
  • Ensuring all engineering activities align with project schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Providing technical support to identify cost-effective and efficient construction methods.
  • Managing engineering procedures and document control.
  • Tracking material procurement and maintaining up-to-date design documents.
  • Assisting in schedule management and monitoring adherence to timelines.
  • Resolving issues to uphold construction quality and specification integrity.
  • Representing the company in meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract and purchase order scopes.
  • Overseeing submittal tracking and maintaining official project logs and documentation.
  • Completing additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A 4-year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, building codes, and standards.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the interrelationships between functional units.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in software solutions such as Prolog Sky, Bluebeam, Textura CPM, Sage Construction and Real Estate, and Primavera P6.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with construction documents and technical aspects of various construction disciplines.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in training junior engineers.
