The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering comprehensive Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse/Data Analytics solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams globally, providing technical direction to teams and project leaders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, focusing on building high-performing teams, streamlining processes, and achieving successful outcomes. This individual will effectively engage with stakeholders, clients, and external partners, showcasing an ability to meet critical deadlines in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of project managers, business analysts, developers, and testers to execute data and integration initiatives within a matrix organization.
- Develop project charters and scope statements, while creating and maintaining project plans and RACI matrices.
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to monitor progress and performance against project timelines, addressing issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Oversee all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Planning, Requirements Gathering, Design, Development, Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Deployment, and Hypercare Support for each production release.
- Manage projects utilizing Clarity Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) while applying an agile approach through tools such as Jira, Kanban, Scrum, and Azure DevOps, in compliance with GxP processes.
- Identify and manage risks/issues, oversee project budgets, and provide monthly financial reports.
- Deliver weekly status updates to management regarding programs/projects and assist in generating demand and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Successfully coordinate and execute multiple interrelated IT project activities within strict budgetary limits while providing actionable insights to leadership and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Assign tasks to team members, directing activities, offering technical guidance, and completing individual tasks as necessary.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost assessments, and the establishment and implementation of new or revised projects/programs.
- Collaborate with IT senior management, product owners, business managers, and business analysts to evaluate user requests and devise solutions to business challenges.
- Act as a liaison between IT and Operations teams to ensure timely resolution of urgent issues.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of proven experience in a Program Manager or similar managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- An agile mindset with experience in agile environments.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to transparent communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software (MS Project, Clarity, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience with AbbVie is a significant advantage.
