Position Overview:

The Chief Risk Management Officer will spearhead the clinical risk management initiatives at Cantex Continuing Care Network, focusing on the identification and mitigation of risks that could impact patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Risk Management Program aimed at identifying, analyzing, and addressing potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, implementing strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations concerning risk management.
  • Document and report risk metrics and incident data as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to effectively manage claims and litigation processes.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and loss prevention through effective communication of results to senior leadership.

Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement:

  • Oversee Quality Assurance Performance Improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide detailed reports during quarterly meetings on compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to senior leadership regarding risk management and quality performance.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance the onboarding process and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled nursing facilities and risk management.
  • Current RN license is required; certification in Risk Management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with various stakeholders.
