Job Summary

Aspire Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide top-notch anesthesia care to veteran patients at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective delivery of anesthetic care throughout the hospital while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
  • Assess patients, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical and other medical procedures.
  • Administer anesthetics during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.
  • Coordinate the administration of anesthetics with surgeons during procedures in operating rooms.
  • Provide and maintain life support and airway management as needed and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
  • Determine when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following surgery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program, masters prepared, approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
  • Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
  • Active and unrestricted nursing/CRNA license to practice in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and committed to patient safety
