Job Summary:

University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our medical staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during surgeries and other medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serves as a member of the healthcare team responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during surgeries and other medical procedures.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in critical care and airway management, providing expertise in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including ambulatory surgery centers (ASC).

Requirements:

• A Registered Professional Nurse with advanced education and training in nurse anesthesia, obtained through an accredited post-basic or advanced educational program of study.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the state of Texas.
• Registration by the state to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and current certification by a national nursing body, such as the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Must maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification in accordance with Medical-Dental staff bylaws.
