About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fluid Systems Design Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our New Glenn program, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of fluid systems for our reusable rockets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex fluid subsystems, including pressurization, pneumatics, and propellant utilization systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fluid systems with other rocket components.
  • Develop and implement testing and validation strategies to ensure fluid system performance and safety.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality fluid system components.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in fluid systems design and development, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex fluid system projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cryogenic systems and materials.
  • Knowledge of low-cost manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Experience with 3D CAD programs and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
