Nursing Services Director

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will direct the day-to-day operations of nursing services effectively and efficiently in accordance with regulatory compliance guidelines, Standards of Nursing practice, and principles of customer service excellence.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and solid computer skills – both personal computer and electronic medical record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure clinical competency and training in collaboration with the SDC in the Electronic Charting system to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient documentation of resident care provided.
- Oversight of the interdisciplinary care planning process to include initial planning (on admission to the unit); interim planning (to include clinical status changes); and the required Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
- Evaluation of the nursing care facility can meet each resident's needs, which includes the potential new admission to the facility, a current resident of the facility, or the transfer of a resident from the facility.
- Consult with medical, business, and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs.
- Develop or expand and implement medical programs or health services that promote research, rehabilitation, and community health.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other professional and non-professional staff.
- Maintain skills in order to provide direct nursing care as necessary.
