Development Director

Description
Our Mission is to provide compassionate care and services to empower individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental illnesses, and homelessness to attain an enhanced quality of life regardless of ability to pay. The ideal candidate will have a college degree and a minimum of 2 years experience working in nonprofit Development, as well as proficiency in the use of social media.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Research applicable foundation funding sources, and prepare grant applications
- Monitor grant reporting deadlines and prepare grant reports as required
- Engage with current and prospective donors through direct communication, social media, Dynamic Campus website, newsletters, etc.
- Create and manage fundraising activities including organizing events
- Support major gifts program including: community education presentations, researching major gifts prospects and scheduling Dynamic Campus tours
- Support staff and Board of Directors in their work to obtain private donations
- Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and take minutes of those meetings
- Serve as staff member on the Board of Director's Development Committee
- Identify, cultivate, steward and solicit existing and additional donors
- Provide administrative support for gift acknowledgment programs, including gift data entry and acknowledgement
- Oversee donor database, reporting and data analysis
- Maintain foundation, corporation, and individual donor files
- Design and implement donor appreciation and cultivation events and activities
- Create monthly development, fundraising activity and other database reports, as needed
- Research appropriate benchmarks and metrics and report on new donors, donor retention, attrition, donation amounts and other appropriate information needed to assess fund development goal and objective accomplishment
- Assign development tasks to staff and BOD as needed
- Coordinate production and mailings of fundraising, annual reports, and other donor correspondence
- Recruit, coordinate, and oversee volunteers for fund development and fundraising activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
- Maintain agency website and social media platforms
