Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Office of Institutional Advancement
  • Oversee all functions and staff members in the Office of Institutional Advancement
  • Develop and implement the University's advancement and fundraising strategy
  • Solicit and secure major and principal gifts from private sector and/or public sources
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community leaders
  • Collaborate with the President's Office, Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Enrollment Management, and other colleagues to further the University's vision, mission, and strategic plan
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a senior-level management position in higher education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of success in soliciting and securing major and principal gifts from private sector and/or public sources
  • Strong understanding of best practices in advancement and fundraising
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel monthly, including overnight trips with a minimum of five days per month
