Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Machine Learning Manager to join the Ad Ranking Team in Monetization. As a key member of our team, you'll support elite machine learning engineers and scientists to advance ML modeling and capabilities, build and improve advertising products, and help partners achieve their business goals on the Snap platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a group of elite machine learning engineers and scientists to advance ML modeling and capabilities, build and improve advertising products, and help our partners achieve their business goals on the Snap platform.
  • Build robust, lasting, and scalable products, and iterate quickly without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of key decisions and technical roadmap.
  • Support the team, grow leaders, and foster positive team culture.
  • Build strong partnership with key stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of ML approaches and algorithms, and their applications to advertising or recommendation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company.
  • Experience in solving open ambiguous problems from end to end.
  • Strong people management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science or related field.
  • Experience working with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or related frameworks.
  • Experience managing a team of 25+ engineers with manager reports.
  • Previous experience partnering with cross-functional executives and management across a globally distributed organization and exercising sound judgment.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
