Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator IV to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. This role requires a strong understanding of medical insurance processing, admissions, and insurance experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, lead, and motivate team members
  • Assist management by serving in the lead role and functioning as a group/team mentor and resource liaison
  • Manage complex multi-payer insurance verification and benefits eligibility procedures
  • Obtain and complete documentation for pre-certification and referral/authorizations
  • Assess patient financial liability and schedule, register, and bill patients
Requirements
  • A.A. degree or equivalent required
  • B.A. degree preferred
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment
  • Extensive medical insurance processing, admissions, and/or insurance experience required
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, working 7:00am-3:30pm. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
