Job Responsibilities:

As an Event Planning Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the event management software system.
2. Engaging with the university community to clarify event specifications.
3. Coordinating with various departments to fulfill event requirements (Media services, catering, custodial, conferences, etc.).
4. Delivering exceptional service and communication to clients and staff.
5. Conducting quality checks and inspections of event venues.
6. Performing pre-event walkthroughs with event personnel for setup and breakdown.
7. Maintaining organized event reports and gathering feedback.
8. Participating in weekly event and staff meetings.
9. Assisting event hosts in creating floor plans and diagrams.
10. Handling general data entry and office administration tasks as needed, including answering phone calls and emails, filing, and copying.
11. Welcoming and assisting walk-in visitors in a professional manner.
12. Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma required; an associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration or a related field.
- High energy and enthusiasm for the role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Familiarity with service ticket or work order systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- A sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines; self-motivated.
- Capability to manage confidential information.
- Proficient in multitasking.

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $20. The pay range for this position may vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
