Position Overview

The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation is in search of a committed and proficient Research Associate to engage in our pioneering projects focused on enhancing translational cancer research. This role is a temporary appointment with the potential for extension based on performance and availability of research funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research & Collaboration: Execute research activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and work alongside a diverse team to propel our precision medicine objectives.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather research data, create visual representations, and prepare findings for publication.
  • Laboratory Management: Organize laboratory documentation, develop and refine experimental protocols, and uphold a safe working environment.
  • Training & Support: Mentor junior interns, assist colleagues with their projects, and ensure the laboratory operates smoothly.
  • Literature Review: Examine laboratory methods manuals, scientific literature, grant proposals, abstracts, and other relevant materials to remain updated with the latest research advancements.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the PI to assess work assignments, formulate research experiment plans, and adjust existing laboratory procedures as necessary.
Additional Duties
  • Participate in orientation and training sessions.
  • Engage in annual performance evaluations and self-assessments to identify career aspirations and areas for growth.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by senior personnel.
