Job Title: Therapeutic Care Specialist

Job Summary:

Intercept Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Care Specialist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a structured therapeutic environment for children and adolescents in need of behavioral, emotional, or developmental support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide positive role modeling and guidance to residents, promoting socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans, working collaboratively with the Program Manager and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive living environment, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Collaborate with residents, family members, and other stakeholders to promote resident success and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in therapeutic care and support.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with at least six months of experience working with children, or an Associate's Degree and at least three months of experience working with children, or a Bachelor's Degree in a Virginia Department of Health Profession's approved Human Service degree.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekend evenings and overnights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
