Job Summary

The Director of Project Management for Rack and Cooling Solutions will be responsible for overseeing the management of product design, redesign, and test development projects to support customers' cooling programs in the data center ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Institute and maintain appropriate project management processes with customers, ensuring timely product development and qualifications with compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with sales to manage projections and anticipated projects, maintain tight planning and collaboration with the design execution team, sales, and manufacturing operations.
  • Resource Management: Forecast anticipated resource needs, work with Sanmina's technology partners, and participate in contract authoring and negotiations.
  • Quality and Delivery: Ensure the quality of all deliverables, manage transfer of designs to manufacturing operations, and manage the ramp to mature production.
  • Financial Management: Manage project financials / profitability and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Ensure proper training of new staff and lead a team of project managers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience managing complex projects and a team of project managers, ideally with PMP certification.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of project management tools and procedures, solid leadership and management skills, solid problem-solving skills, strong presentation skills, and experience with managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control.
