About the Role

META is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Design Engineering and Construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new data center cooling technologies and systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and speed to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and develop new data center cooling technologies and systems to reduce cost and improve efficiency
  • Contribute to the development of data center cooling strategy and roadmap
  • Lead and implement technical scope of all phases of R&D life cycle of cooling solutions and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform innovations into manufactured equipment
  • Travel to vendor and Meta data center sites for verification and validation testing of cooling products and technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum ten (10) years of hands-on R&D experience in mission critical mechanical components and systems
  • Cross-disciplinary design, development, and operations knowledge of data center or similar mission critical industry heat absorption and heat rejection systems
  • Experience and expertise in mechanical modeling, simulation, and analysis methodologies and tools
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer registration
  • Experience in mechanical systems reliability modeling, statistical analyses, or data science techniques
  • Working knowledge of design, development, and manufacturing processes as applied to adjacent data center systems and solutions
