Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Manage and own MRO purchasing from requisition to receipt for specific clients, ensuring compliance with preferred supplier strategies.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals, while maintaining excellent customer service and meeting timeline requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes and material suppliers, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Transaction Management: Maintain transaction service metrics in an inbound call center environment, ensuring seamless communication with clients and suppliers.
  • Invoice Exception Handling: Review and resolve all invoice exceptions associated with purchasing and expediting open orders.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, suppliers, and other departments to resolve purchasing-related issues and offer resolutions.
  • Travel and Training: Potential travel to customer sites for training, meetings, or team support may be required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience, especially in the purchasing field.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to collaborate in a client-driven environment, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ERP purchasing software.
