Procurement Specialist

Chef Bobo Brand is seeking a skilled and budget-conscious Procurement Specialist to elevate our purchasing processes. We are in search of a professional with a strong background in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and extensive experience in food production, capable of implementing innovative strategies to reduce costs and enhance product quality. The ideal candidate will prioritize quality, strengthen relationships with current suppliers, and identify new vendors that can fulfill our requirements more effectively. We are a progressive organization looking for a candidate who is eager to grow alongside us. The Procurement Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of supply chain requirements.
  • Manage supply and demand forecasts to anticipate our material needs in response to fluctuating demand.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to comprehend dependencies and critical timelines within the supply chain.
  • Oversee and cultivate relationships with both existing and prospective vendors and suppliers.
  • Engage in negotiations regarding pricing and volume agreements with suppliers.
  • Conduct research and facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of new vendors.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for all materials and supplies.
Essential Functions:
  • Generate data-driven reports for the team to analyze expenditures.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing structures.
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers and vendors.
  • Address pricing and volume discrepancies promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experienced with QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented team player with strong negotiation abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing sector.
