Position Overview:

The Events and Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in crafting and promoting various events at the facility, which encompass venue rentals, concerts, conventions, and in-house gatherings. This position requires innovative thinking to create marketing strategies that enhance community involvement and awareness. The individual will work closely with the Facility Director to oversee and manage all marketing activities aimed at achieving budgetary objectives while also contributing to revenue generation for the venue.

Compensation: This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $22.

Benefits: For full-time positions, benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off, including vacation days, sick leave, and 12 holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with promoters, event organizers, subcontractors, tenants, and clients, including drafting and executing relevant agreements.
  • Assist in the operational management of events on the day they occur.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the logistics of assigned events, acting as the liaison among all parties and departments involved.
  • Manage in-house events in line with venue policies, overseeing logistics, settlements, budget management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the facility during events, enforcing policies and addressing any public or event-related issues professionally.
  • Support daily promotional activities and in-house event operations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and engage in monthly discussions with other Oak View Group entities.
  • Assist with digital and print marketing initiatives, covering social media, websites, advertising, and local media opportunities.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including the creation and distribution of press releases and maintaining positive media relationships.
  • Support grassroots marketing efforts, including distribution of promotional materials and community engagement.
  • Generate innovative ideas to attract new events and enhance promotion for booked events.
  • Assist with database management and email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop new marketing initiatives to maximize ticket sales through partnerships and media opportunities.
  • Explore unconventional marketing strategies for the facility and its events.
  • Utilize graphic design skills with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments and with external partners, including media, clients, and promoters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in event management, facility management, sports management, hospitality management, business administration, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in marketing and advertising.
  • Intermediate proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively with the public, staff, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
