Position Overview:
The Special Events & Marketing Coordinator is tasked with the vital role of conceptualizing and executing promotional strategies for various events at the facility. This includes venue rentals, concerts, conventions, and other in-house gatherings. The ideal candidate will showcase creativity in crafting marketing initiatives that enhance community engagement and awareness.
In collaboration with the Facility Director, this individual will oversee and coordinate all marketing activities aimed at achieving budgetary objectives while also contributing to revenue generation for the venue. Responsibilities will encompass graphic design, advertising, interactive media, promotions, public relations, and grassroots marketing efforts for assigned events.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $18 to $22.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with promoters, event producers, subcontractors, tenants, and clients, including the formulation and execution of relevant agreements.
- Assist in the operational aspects of events on the day they occur.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the logistics of assigned events, acting as the liaison among all involved parties and departments.
- Oversee in-house events in alignment with venue policies, managing event logistics, financial settlements, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Represent the facility during events, enforcing policies and addressing any public or event-related concerns professionally.
- Support daily promotional activities and in-house event operations.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and engage in conference calls with other entities.
- Assist in executing the venue's digital and print marketing strategies, including social media, website content, advertising, and local media outreach.
- Manage public relations efforts, including drafting and distributing press releases and maintaining positive media relationships.
- Engage in grassroots marketing initiatives such as distributing promotional materials and participating in community outreach.
- Generate innovative ideas to attract new events and enhance the promotion of booked events.
- Support database management and email marketing campaigns.
- Develop new marketing programs to optimize ticket sales through partnerships and media opportunities.
- Explore unconventional marketing strategies for the venue and its events.
- Utilize graphic design skills with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments and with external partners to ensure successful campaigns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, facility management, sports management, hospitality management, business administration, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in marketing and advertising.
- Intermediate proficiency in social media platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
