Government Contract Negotiator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Government Contract Negotiator to join our team and support the development and execution of contracts that meet business objectives. As a trusted advisor to our senior leadership and go-to-market teams, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts with government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with government agencies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Contract Development: Develop contracts that meet business objectives, taking into account market analysis, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proposal Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review RFPs, develop proposal responses, and participate in proposal strategy sessions.
  • Contract Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including negotiation, drafting, and administration.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in federal government contracting, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of government contracting laws, rules, and regulations, including FAR and DFARS; OEM experience with major vendors.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: $110,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
