Join our dedicated team at Sapphire Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing of Central Queens, a leading 227-bed skilled nursing facility. We are currently seeking a qualified Nursing Leadership Coordinator (Assistant Director of Nursing) with a strong background in long-term care.

The Nursing Leadership Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing by overseeing various nursing functions. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in a long-term care environment and demonstrate proficiency in training and guiding clinical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in management duties and uphold quality care standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate effective communication among nursing staff.
  • Address the medical needs of residents with diligence and care.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timely completion of medical documentation.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing personnel.
  • Conduct daily resident advocacy rounds to address concerns.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance and infection control protocols.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives related to incidents and wound care management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings.
  • Preferred 2 years of management experience.
  • Preferred 1 year of experience in staff education.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and supervisory capabilities.
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential.
