Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician IV to join our team at Geodesicx, Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support in testing, screening, configuration, repairing, and support to resolve shipboard casualty repairs for various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems across multiple platforms supporting Department of Defense end users.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Checkout and Analysis: Conduct thorough equipment checkout on Depot Level Repairable (DLR) materials returned from fleet users for beyond economical repair analysis and restoration to Ready for Issue (RFI) condition.
  • Casualty Repair Support: Support the resolution of Casualty Repairs (CASREPs) and fleet failure events to return systems to operational status.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to track warranty repairs and update helpdesk tickets.
  • Material Inspection: Inspect material received as RFI assets to verify for damage from repair or procurement before being entered into the inventory management database.
  • NRFI Screening/Testing: Perform Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) Screening/Testing on assets to confirm failure occurrence.
  • Warranty Research: Research warranty coverage for NRFI assets before processing for repair and liaise with the Original Equipment Manufacturer for repair/replacement.
  • Requisition Verification: Verify requisitions using Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and CDMDOA to ensure proper configuration of material.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Five (5) years of practical experience with an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or seven (7) years of practical experience with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to perform non-standardized assignments, selecting or adapting procedures or equipment using applicable precedents.
Education:
  • Associate's Degree: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or
  • Formal Training: Formal electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program; or
  • High School Diploma: High School diploma or GED.
