We are currently seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer to oversee instrumentation and electrical teams at our client's facility. This role involves supervising project execution and ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers to achieve project deliverables.
  • Manage project schedules and direct activities within the Electrical-Instrumentation-Controls Department.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and work-hour budgets in collaboration with management.
  • Conduct and review engineering analysis and design tasks for complex projects based on general guidelines.
  • Oversee the production of construction drawing packages by guiding engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Develop detailed designs for instrumentation and control systems, including control diagrams, instrument location plans, and installation details.
  • Ensure the technical accuracy and feasibility of completed designs.
  • Perform comprehensive checks of instrumentation design packages according to established procedures.
  • Adhere to project change management protocols for any modifications.
  • Support procurement, construction, and commissioning efforts.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in instrumentation and controls engineering.
  • Facilitate effective communication with project stakeholders, including customers.
  • Contribute to P&ID development, including instrument selection.

Required Technical and Industry Expertise:

  • Demonstrated technical and practical engineering skills, particularly in the polymer sector.
  • Thorough understanding of instrumentation and controls engineering principles and related fields.
  • Familiarity with relevant local and international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in specifying instrumentation for various parameters such as level, pressure, and temperature.
  • Proficiency in Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Ability to write control narratives for programming purposes.
  • Experience with Safety Integrated Systems and SIL calculations.
  • Competent in using engineering software specific to electrical, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Extensive experience in instrumentation and controls or electrical engineering within similar industries, particularly in multidisciplinary project environments.
