Job Overview

Geodesicx Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician V to join our team of technical experts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support in testing, screening, configuring, repairing, and resolving complex technical issues for various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems on different platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Analysis and Restoration: Perform thorough checks on Depot Level Repairable (DLR) materials returned from fleet users to analyze and restore them to Ready for Issue (RFI) condition.
  • Casualty Repair and Resolution: Support in resolving Casualty Repairs (CASREPs) and fleet failure events to bring systems back to operational status.
  • Vendor Communication and Warranty Management: Communicate with vendors to monitor warranty repairs and update helpdesk tickets.
  • Inventory Management and Screening: Examine received material for damage before entry into the inventory management database and conduct Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) Screening/Testing to validate failure occurrence on assets received as NRFI.
  • Research and Validation: Research if an NRFI asset is under warranty before proceeding with repair actions and validate requisitions using Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and other available configuration information.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Six (6) years of hands-on experience with an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, mathematics, or science; or ten (10) years of experience with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Technical Expertise: Significant experience in designing, developing, and building major units, devices, or equipment; performing tests or experiments; analyzing outcomes; and enhancing equipment performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Project Management: Ability to handle non-routine and complex tasks, taking responsibility for planning and executing a complete project of limited scope independently or a segment of a broader project.
Education and Training:
  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, mathematics, or science; or official electronics training from a Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program.
  • High School Diploma or GED: High School diploma or GED.
