Position: LGBTQ+ Community Outreach Coordinator

The LGBTQ+ Community Outreach Coordinator position entails engaging in outreach, education, and testing services tailored for marginalized communities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. The emphasis is on providing assistance to Women who have Sex with Women, Young Men who have Sex with Men, and Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Non-Binary individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct culturally sensitive outreach and educational programs.
  • Provide HIV and HCV testing and counseling services.
  • Create customized educational resources.
  • Engage in community events and workshops.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Ensure clients are connected to appropriate care services.
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and client interactions.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and community stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with TGNCNB communities.
  • Background in HIV-related services.
  • Experience in human services.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Comfortable with public outreach initiatives.
  • Familiarity with target populations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and multitask effectively.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Essential Skills:

  • Cultural competency within LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Proficiency in conducting HIV and HCV testing.
  • Ability to create effective educational content.
  • Networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
