Position: Litigation Paralegal

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal who possesses a deep commitment to justice and an eye for detail. This position entails collaborating closely with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and mediations, overseeing all facets of plaintiff civil litigation. The ideal candidate will engage in complex, high-stakes cases within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support attorneys in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and factual investigations.
  • Organize and maintain case files, liaise with expert witnesses, and oversee the discovery process.
  • Prepare trial exhibits, assist with jury selection, and participate in trial proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and file court documents and legal memoranda.
  • Maintain case management systems and databases efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
  • Ensure adherence to court rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff civil litigation, with a preference for personal injury experience.
  • Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software applications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with the civil litigation process and legal terminology.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in managing confidential information.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
