Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in evaluating case materials, including the collection and analysis of relevant documents, and prepare summaries of significant legal decisions and opinions.
  • Draft, edit, and review non-legal documents, create correspondence, and compile research reports.
  • Support trial preparation by organizing evidence and assisting in the development of statistical charts and visual aids.
  • Conduct interviews with potential witnesses and prepare concise summary reports of those interviews.
  • Review legal documents to verify citations and ensure accuracy in legal references.
  • Participate in pre-trial meetings to assess case materials for completeness and address any discrepancies.
  • Prepare summaries of witness testimonies and depositions during and after trial proceedings.
  • Investigate case facts and applicable laws, as well as search public records to build cases and identify causes of action.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the legal team.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of paralegal experience.
  • Preferred experience in trial support and automated litigation systems.
  • Ability to understand the structure and functions of the organization.
  • Knowledge of basic legal research methodologies, including standard citation practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in legal writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
